Community Involvement and Business Experience

An attorney’s first duty is to serve his family and community. I am privileged to have had the opportunity to work and live in an area where many citizens serve their fellow citizens. Joining the community of givers has been a satisfying life long experience.

My significant community involvement includes:

Kiwanis - Life Member of Kiwanis and member of Harney Point Kiwanis, Cape Coral, since 1978. Past President.
Kiwanis is dedicated to community service. The motto of Kiwanis is “Saving one community and one child at a time.” Harney Point Kiwanis raises funds for community projects and provides Kids Fest on the last Saturday of October each year for the past ten years. Ten thousand children and their families enjoy fun, free services and learning at Kids Fest.

Cape Coral Housing Rehabilitation and Development Corporation, Inc. Presently serving and President. CCHRD is a non-profit corporation utilizing government grants to improve housing for seniors and low income families. Coral Village, our 68 unit Senior Housing development provides quality housing at reduced rentals for seniors. CCHRD has recently purchased a four-plex to expand services. CCHRD utilizes a budget of several hundred thousand dollars to rehabilitate housing for low income families, and the money is recycled.

Lee Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. - Past Director and Past President. LARC serves the retarded citizens of Lee County by providing work, education and housing.

Cape Coral Bar Association - Past Director and President.

Cape Coral City Attorney - 1982-1984.

Cub Club, Inc. - Legal Officer and Past Director. The Cub Club provides an opportunity to fly to the general public and education opportunities to the citizenry.

Business Experience:

Founder and Past Director of First National Bank of Southwest Florida, NA, organized in 1989, now merged into Fifth Third Bank.
